Mini Lops were the first breed i kept to show, they have inquisative personalities and are great fun to keep. They make lovely pets and are the smallest of the lop section. The mini lop as we have it in the UK is similar to what other countries call the holland lop. They come in many different colours and patterns. My favourite being the butterfly pattern, which is where a colour is combined with white patches, this is the colour I have chosen to specialise in. It is a difficult pattern to breed to standard and they are not regulary seen at shows.

I breed miniature lops in butterfly but also produce solid and charlies, the main colours I concentrate on are agouti and orange... with occasionally fawn, black, blue, sooty fawn, opal and beige.

I also love the miniature cashmere lop, which is a longhaired version of the miniature lop, they have a more laid back personality and are a great little breed. I occasionally keep and breed the mini cashies and keep strict records on all my rabbits so i know which are cashmere carriers and the chance of all rabbits carrying cashmere.

Casper is currently my main agouti butterfly buck. He was bred from Jasper and Cookie and has inherited both of their best bits. However sadly his markings let him down when he is shown. Casper has now reached full matuirty so will begin to be more heavily shown. He has a gorgeous small cobby body and a wide head, he is certainly a super little buck.

Casper has a great personality and is a happy little buzzer. He loves to play out in the run and really enjoys been cuddled.

I plan to use Casper alongside my other bucks to help me form my line and I cant wait to see the litters i'll get in the future.

Donnie is an absolutely stunning sooty buck who came to us from ann and arnold from torview lops, he was bred by sue donnigan.

Donnie has a great personality and is full of character, he has great type and looks lovely, however his crown is slightly slipped.

Donnie is believed to be cashmere free.

Troy is a lovely solid agouti buck bred by my good friend amanda (at willowdene stud) however he has resided here since he was 3 weeks.

Troy has amazing type, a massive head and lovely cobby body, he also has a great crown and ear set up, however his coat is a little soft.

Troy has already had an amazing show career on the few occasions he's been out including a best overall fancy/lop, he's a super little buck who i hope will continue to do well.

Troy is a possible carrier of a genetic weakness so although he is shown, he will not be bred from!

Honey is a stunning choc tort otter miniature cashmere doe, she was bred by claire at playgirls stud, out of a lovely black butterfly and a stunning chocolate otter butterfly. Honey was my first cashmere and i've fallen head over heals for them, and hope to produce some lovely cashmere butterflys in the future.

Jane is my lovely orange butterfly doe bred by jim murdoch. I'd retired a few of my older does and when i saw this girl i just thought she was too stunning to pass on. She has lovely type and gorgeous ears, but her crown is a little too narrow. She showed well as an U5 and is now a wonderful breeding doe.

Felix is a beautiful sooty fawn charlie mini cashmere doe she was the only survivor from casper's babies that were born a week and a half early... hence her 'lucky' name. Although she cannot be shown she will be a wonderful addition to my breeding program and i hope she will produce many lovely butterflies in the future.

Jasper was a stunning agouti butterfly buck bred by Kevin and Louise Wakefield. He was my first butterfly buck and the foundation of my line.

He had gorgeous type and lovely colour, I also loved his markings, he was a really stunning boy and a pleasure to own.

Over his show career jasper gained an amazing 9 BOBs, 3 Best Lops and 50 stars, enough to earn him both his BRC and NMLRC championship (i just need to send the forms off). Jasper won BIS at the IORSS (online shows) first show gaining a championship with them. Sadly he had passed away before the completion of judging, but it is still a wonderful achievment for him.

He was an amazing rabbit and will be sadly missed, but the impact he has made on my butterfly line is obvious and hopefully will be for years to come.

Amber is a lovely orange butterfly mini lop doe, a really stunning doe with great markings, she was bred by me out of cookie and jasper, and shown as an U5. Amber seemed to become very lonely after her partner (toby) died so is now enjoying the life of luxoury as a pet with her new partner pickles. She will always be sadly missed and was a truely stunning rabbit, her offspring will remain here to carry on her line.

Millie is a lovely typey agouti butterfly doe bred by kevin and louise wakefield, she has the same mother as jasper.

She is very small and has lovely head and body, unfortunatly her markings are not as good as my bucks.

When i retired millie from showing to become a breeding doe, she sadly did not 'gel' well with my lines so has gone to live with my good friend ann and is producing some lovely litters.

Toby was my first ever miniature lop, and my first show rabbit. He was a lovely buck whom I loved dearly, and after I gave up the chocolate mini lops toby stayed here as a much loved pet. Sadly toby passed away at 4 years old, he will always be dearly missed.

BonBon was an amazing doe, and had a fantastic life, i'm always greatful that phyllis agreed to part with such a stunning doe. She produced many grand champions through her breeding career, many of which are still famous today. She was also the mother of my bailey. She lived to a lovely old age and after producing a litter for me enjoyed a relaxed outdoor life keeping my rescue doe company. She passed away quiertly in her sleep in my bedroom, such a gentle doe that has had such a huge impact on the chocolate mini lops.

Solo was an amazing buck, he had gorgeous type and great markings and the most amazing coat (although many would say too soft). I adored this colour and thought it was so stunning on the breed. Sadly in 2007 we lost solo suddenly to a gut problem, i was devasated as he was a wonderful and friendly buck. I couldnt bring myself to buy another straight away so gave away my himie doe to a friend wanting to work on himie lionlops. I hope one day to re-introduce this colour.
