Hektor is now 7 months old and looking fine, he seems much more mature, plus his behaviour is much better, I took my camera out as thought it was about time to get some new pictures of him. I think these turned out pretty well.
Well hektor's feet were rather overgrown and he has been slipping and sliding all over the laminate floor, so we thought it was about time he had a tidy up, his feet are trimmed and his ears tidied, and we didnt need any further excuse to have a nice little photo shoot in the garden. So here are the results... we also tried our best to get some stack shots, but hektor didnt really want to participate today. So here are his new gorgeous photos.
I finally got around to taking some photos of hektor on the beach. We live close to the beach and hektor loves going there for walks. He is currently being trained as a fossil dector lol, he's doing really well and thoroughly enjoys sniffing around on the beach.

As you can see hektor is starting to get pretty big now and is walk mad at the moment, he loves to be out and about exploring all the different places locally.

Here are some photos from hektor's recent trip to the woods where he enjoys the sights and smells, there's so much to do and plenty of places to explore.
We are very lucky where we live as we are only a 15 minute walk into some beautiful woodland, and 15 minutes in the other direction and we're on a lovely sandy beach. Hektor and I enjoy our afternoon walks and can't wait till summer arrives so we can enjoy longer evening outings.
This just needed a photo, hektor had decided that his doggy bed was not suitable as bed, but rather would be much more fun if he chewed a hole in the bottom, flipped it upside down and pretended to be a tortoise... he wandered around for a while with his head stuck through the hole untill we rescued him, then in true hektor style went back and did it all again.
Hektor found this forgotten bean bag in the corner of our study, dragged it out and claimed it as his own. It's now his offical bed, its just really funny the way he insists on sleeping upside down. We had snow today yeay, here's hektor exploring the garden and enjoying his first tastes of snow, yep in true puppy form he tried to eat it, he brought quite a bit of it back into the house, we were finding it under the furniture for a while.
'He who dies with the most toys wins'
Hektor is such a tidy puppy, he likes to put all his toys (some of which i bought for him, plenty of which others bought for him, and a few he just found in the house and claimed.) in his basket... only problem is that doesnt leave much room for a puppy.
Hektor having a go at 'standing' he's a very figity puppy and is easily distracted...
Merry Christmas, well Hektor enjoyed unwrapping his presents and eating the decorations. Strangly enough, everyone seemed to buy him presents, he now has more toys than surely any puppy needs, oh well i'm sure he'll enjoy them.
Yeay I actually have a puppy I really can't believe it, and such a gorgeous boy at that, things have moved so fast so i thought i'd just give you a few photos of the new boy settling in and tell you the exciting journey that led us here.

I've wanted a dog for oooh about 12 years now, but as i still live with my parents, it was up to them, and they always said no. There are many breeds i love mainly the field spaniels, beagles, italian greyhounds and tamaskans, each for different reasons.
When my parents agreed to let me get a pup i couldnt believe it, we decided that the field spaniel was the obvious choice and the only breed that could fit comfortably into our family lifestyle.
Well as i'd had 10 years to look into dogs, i already knew that i desperatly wanted a black, but knowing the rarity of the colour, i would also have been happy with a liver. And knew that my favourite dogs were all from the soberhill kennel.
A week after we had agreed on a dog and had had time to discuss options and what we wanted, and that the dog would be solely mine i sent out a few tentative emails.
Dad was all set to go and get a pup as soon as christmas was over, i had to calm them down by telling them that what i wanted might take a wait of 18 months or more, he wasnt impressed lol.
Well i soon had a reply from shula shipton who pointed me in the direction of suzanne saying she had some black show potential pups ready now/
Whoah
We couldnt believe it, we never expected anything to come up so quickly and so perfect, i looked into the parents and the litter couldnt have ticked any more of my wish list boxes, in theory they were exactly what i was looking for, and both parents bred by soberhill kennels to boot.
We ummed and arred as it was really soon, we had been expecting a wait of at least a year, but decided that this was too good an opportunity to miss, so that weekend we were heading off to look at the pups...
So within a month of me getting the 'official' go ahead i have sat on my lap, my dream pup, i can't believe it

Truely a Christmas Miracle.
